New KS1 Playground!
Comments from our children were: "It will make us fit and stronger. I am already strong!" (Reception pupil) "I liked the new trim trail. I liked the swinging steps and rocky bridge." Kensworth Academy wins again!
Back on 23rd June we celebrated International Olympics Day within our bubbles and shared our activities on social media.
I am delighted to say yesterday we received a surprise package of Olympic Day t-shirts for our school!
Festival of Sport Week - - Saturday 20th - Friday 26th June 2020
The results are in for the Dunstable and Houghton Regis area and Kensworth Academy did amazing!

International Olympic Day - 23rd June 2020
In our bubbles we took part in a variety of activities. Tiger Prime Pod held their own Paralympic Sports Day. They also made their own Olympic torches and took part in a variety of other activities. Petit Pois in a Pod held mini sports day where the children took part in a carousel of activities. We made our own healthy edible Olympic Rings with apples topped with yoghurt and chopped fruit and a variety of other activities. We all thoroughly enjoyed our morning and lots of fun was had!

Joy of Moving Home Festival - 19th May 2020
Given the times we’re currently in, we knew our children were unlikely to get to have fun at their sports day this year, so we decided to take part in Joy of Moving Home School Festival! The children took part in a fun afternoon involving lots of games and activities to help get the children active.
