Hamish and Milo

Hamish and Milo is an evidence-based, therapeutic intervention designed for primary-aged children to support mental health, wellbeing and social-emotional development. It features ten thematic packs covering topics like anxiety, friendship, and resilience, using puppets and structured activities for small groups or individuals. 

Key features of the programme include:

  • Components: Each pack includes session plans,, worksheets, socket puppet kits, and wellbeing journals.
  • Methodology: Based on attachment theory and emotional regulation, the program aims to improve emotional literacy and reduce anxiety.
  • Outcomes: Schools report improved pupil confidence, better self-regulation, increased empathy, and reduced behavioural issues. 
  • Focus Areas: The 10 packs cover anxiety, friendship, resilience, diversity, anger, change, conflict, loss, sadness, and self-esteem.
  • Target Audience: Primary-aged children, including those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
